COVID-19 has made us rethink, reassess and realign. As we emerge from one global challenge, we are faced with new ones: war in Europe and an inflation driven financial downturn across the world. While our attention is taken up by these momentous events particularly in the West, crises of different form and nature constantly flare up across the globe. At the same time, the deep structural, interrelated crises of environment, climate and social justice are towering over us.
Organisations are at the heart of society’s response to these underlying crises. As individuals, it is often through forming, joining and working in organisations that we seek to create a more sustainable future. But in ‘doing the work’, we often feel stuck, held back, frustrated by internal and external forces. At such times we need to take space to collectively reflect, think, reorient.
